Experience ★ Stewardship ★ Safer Communities
Rooted in Montecito. Committed to service.
I am a Montecito resident, a public finance professional, and a sitting member of the Montecito Fire Protection District Board, appointed in 2026 and now standing for election.
We chose Montecito because of what it represents: character, beauty, and a commitment to excellence.
I first came to Santa Barbara more than two decades ago for college, and this has been home ever since. A number of years ago, as our family grew, my husband and I made the decision to trade our beach home for a place in Montecito where we could put down deeper roots and where our children could grow up feeling connected to their community and attend the school we had always dreamed of for them.
We worked hard to earn our place here, and today we feel incredibly fortunate to call Montecito home.
What makes this community special goes far beyond its natural beauty. It’s the people who serve, protect, build, and care for it, and the neighbors who value one another and the quality of life we share.
I love my work as a District Financial Advisor because I get to help public organizations and the people who operate them succeed.
Throughout my career, I have worked with financial oversight, fiscal responsibility, and complex decisions that require seeing the bigger picture. I enjoy figuring things out, asking difficult questions, and finding practical ways to make things better. I have also been fortunate to be asked to contribute to other organizations and initiatives because of that perspective.
I bring high standards, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to doing what is right. I believe in working across differences, balancing responsible stewardship with the resources needed to succeed, and leaving things better than I found them.
I am running for the Montecito Fire Board because I believe being part of a community means contributing to it.
I want to model that for my children, and I want to use my experience to contribute meaningfully to the community we have worked so hard to become part of. Most importantly, I want to help protect the people and place we call home.
I believe good leadership means setting high expectations, holding people accountable, and removing barriers so people can do great work.
Our firefighters and emergency personnel represent strength, and knowing they are here to help creates an extraordinary sense of security. They deserve a Board that listens to them, believes in them, invests in them, and gives them the tools and support they need to succeed.
My goal is to help ensure Montecito remains safe, resilient, and well-prepared.
As a mother of three young children, our family life is full. Our boys are always on the move with sports, while our daughter dances and swims. We spend our time at school, on the sidelines, reading together, and enjoying the occasional movie night snuggling with our dogs.
When I can find a little quiet time for myself, I love to run; there are few things I love more than a Montecito sunrise.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: we have a responsibility to care for our community, protect what makes it special, and leave it stronger for the next generation.Jenelle Williams
